The new price
Novo Nordisk lowered the self-pay price of Wegovy and Ozempic to $349 a month. New patients could get the two lowest Wegovy doses for $199 a month for the first two months.
Why the timing
The cut came days after the White House deal set lower public prices. It also answered Lilly’s cash vials, which had been cheaper for starting doses.
How far prices have moved
| Date | Wegovy cash price |
|---|---|
| Before March 2025 | No cash channel (list about $1,349) |
| March 2025 | $499 |
| November 2025 | $349 |
The point
Cash prices for these drugs fell by about three quarters in under a year. For people without coverage, that is the most important change of 2025.
